Routing and Censorship of Mail from Warsaw to the Red Cross Re-written in May 2009 By
Chris Kulpinski Awarded a Silver at the APS StampShow Literature COmpetition, Pittsburgh, Pa. 2009. This is the only definitive work on this subject in either English or Polish. The complex routing of covers and numerous censorships points in Poland, The Levant, Egypt and England has been unraveled. There is new information on British censorship in Liverpool and the role of Gibraltar where covers, mailed months apart, were back stamped either on March 19th or 20th and arrived in Geneva on the 10th of April, 1945. At the same time covers that did not go through Gibraltar arrived, in many cases months later. There is new evidence of the 6 post offices in the Praga District of Warszawa, which is well detailed.
